Workshop: Overnight Adventures for Women

Course Description:

As part of our partnership with REI and their Overnight Adventure Education Series we are hosting a workshop all about being women and gender-expansive people in the outdoors.

Diverse genders, including women, women of color, and transgender women, often have unique perspectives and challenges when it comes to outdoor recreation.

Whether you are backpacking, camping, or bikepacking learn about women specific gear and get tips on wilderness healthcare for your next adventure.

In this presentation you will meet women whose experiences have paved the way for others to feel empowered to get out on an overnight adventure.

Marley (she/her) has spent over 25 years engaging communities in wildlife conservation education, as well as evaluating environmental education programs and measuring impact. Working for Women’s Wilderness is a meaningful intersection of Marley’s passion for outdoor recreation and her commitment to equity, access, and inclusion for individuals and communities historically excluded from experiences in and with the natural world.
