Here are some things to know in anticipation of your course:

When you register, you’ll receive a welcome email with more information about the course, including what to expect, a packing list, pickup and drop-off logistics, and more.
If you or your child needs gear, it can be provided.
Most courses leave from and return to the Women’s Wilderness office in Boulder, Colorado.
Women’s Wilderness is committed to providing financial aid to girls and non-binary youth who would otherwise not be able to participate in one of our adventures. The course fee includes: transportation, food, backpacking gear, and climbing gear. Find out more in our Financial Aid section below.

FINANCIAL AID

Financial aid is core to our mission to make the wilderness accessible to all people.

We have given hundreds of thousands of dollars of financial aid since 1998 and never turned away someone because they could not pay for a course. We also offer payment plans.

ELIGIBILITY: We use the federal poverty guidelines to determine eligibility and award amount. Below you can see the breakdown.

- Under 150% FPL: Eligible for 90% course fee waived
- 150% – 250% FPL: Eligible for 51-89% of course fee waived
- 250% – 350% FPL: Eligible for up to 50% of course fee waived
- Over 350% FLP: We may reach out for additional information to confirm eligibility

Enrollment Process for Financial Aid Applicants

Apply for financial aid by completing your application at the button below.
Our team processes financial aid requests every Friday and will email you then with a decision.
To accept the financial aid offer, you must register within one week of your award receipt. Please note that receiving financial aid does not guarantee a spot in the course. Courses can fill quickly, so we encourage you to register promptly!
All registration forms and questions must be completed by the deadline listed in the camp details on our website. Your financial aid offer will include a code that will apply to the course fee during registration.

Financial aid applications for Summer Youth courses will be processed starting January 2026.

PLAY PASS

Women’s Wilderness is proud to be a service provider for PLAYPass!

The PLAYPass program awards eligible youth with non-cash “vouchers” that can be applied toward any Women’s Wilderness course.

PLAYPass users are also eligible to have any remaining course fees not covered by PLAYPass covered by Women’s Wilderness Financial Aid.

Register with PlayPass and, if approved, they will send you a unique discount code to use when registering through us.

If you are already registered through PLAYPass, let their team know you plan to use it for a Women’s Wilderness course.
