Mighty Melanin Adventure Day Camp Description:
This course is intended for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) middle schoolers of color looking for an empowering space to connect and experience the adventures of nature together. This course is key for participants who want to build foundational hiking skills, build community, experience inclusion where they might not have before, have fun, and reconnect with themselves and nature. Join us for 5 days of front country adventures and an optional camping night led by experienced BIPOC female instructors. This journey is for all skill levels.
This week-long event is designed to help you get away from technology, clear your head, and learn what it means to really be us in the beautiful skin we’re in. The course features a balance of group physical movement and independent contemplative time. During our time together, we will see spectacular mountains, learn hiking skills, and build meaningful connections with each other. Instructors will lead reflections and practices to support you in tapping into your authentic self—body, mind and spirit.
This is a BIPOC only event.
