FAQs

  • Will there be water? There will be water at the finish area. There is no water on the 5k course itself. Make sure to bring your own cup, bottle, or other hydration system. This is a cup-less event.
  • What is the course like? The majority of this trail is on CONCRETE with several wooden foot bridges and intermittent crushed gravel.  ALL of the course is at least 8 feet wide. Click here for more course information.
  • May I walk this course? Yes!  Many people enjoy walking the 5k event.  There are some sections of this course where runners are passing in both directions.  Due to this, please be mindful when walking and keep your group of walkers to no more than 2 people wide and STAY TO THE RIGHT side of the path.
  • May my dog run with me? Yes – as long your dog is kept on a leash which is short enough to not interfere with the other runners.  Of course, we know you’ll respectfully clean up after your dog even if it is in the middle of your run.  🙂
  • May I run with a stroller? Yes.  There is a gravel section of this course which is on an incline (going up and coming down.)  Please be prepared with an appropriate style of stroller for use on gravel.
  • May I run with headphones? Yes, you may run with headphones. We just ask that you leave one ear bud out or have the volume low enough to hear important announcements at the start/finish and volunteer/course marshal directions on the course.
  • Are there bathrooms? Yes, Port-a-johns are located in the Expo Area near the start and finish in addition to: 1/2 mile, 1.2 mile, & 2.2 mile.
