A celebration of BIPOC Women Trailblazers and the many ways they connect to, care for, and reimagine the outdoors.

The Trailblazers program at Women’s Wilderness returns for its third annual film festival amplifying powerful stories of BIPOC women in the outdoors. Her Lens, Her Legacy honors women driving change in their communities by shifting the narrative of who and how we can be.

Join us for an evening of:

  • celebrating BIPOC women in the outdoors
  • coming together in community for a great cause
  • learning more about the Trailblazers program
  • captivating films and conversations

The Trailblazers recognize women of color who do the work, protect the land, care for their communities, create new possibilities, and blaze trails, whether or not the world is watching. These films feature women who break barriers in outdoor recreation and sport, preserve cultural knowledge, care for the land, feed and nurture their communities, or open pathways for others to find belonging outside.

Through film, conversation, and community, Her Lens, Her Legacy provides a gathering place for BIPOC outdoor enthusiasts, filmmakers, artists, land stewards, educators, advocates, community leaders, and allies. These stories build bridges across generations, celebrating the many ways women connect with and care for the natural world.

Join us November 14th for an evening of film, conversation and community as we honor the women who blaze trails and inspire us to find our own.

Learn more about Trailblazers here.

Stay for a live panel with BIPOC leaders who refused to wait for permission to belong. Panelists include the women featured in these films along with Women’s Wilderness Executive Director, Kriste Peoples.

Come be inspired. Come be in community. Come be part of the story.
