Sol Sisters: A Mountain Weekend for BIPOC Women

Registration Deadline: July 6, 2026 @11:59pm
Course Description:
There’s something you’ve been craving, even if you haven’t named it yet.
Space to breathe. To move your body. To be outside without feeling like you have to explain your presence or prove anything. To feel joy, ease, and belonging in a place that hasn’t always felt like it was made for you.
This is that space.
From July 17–19, 2026 join us for Sol Sisters, a 3-day mountain retreat created by and for BIPOC women in the breathtaking landscape of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
This weekend isn’t about pushing harder or doing more. It’s about returning to yourself in community with other women who understand what it means to carry a lot, and who are ready to experience something different.
Together, we’ll explore the outdoors in a way that is joyful, supportive, and deeply grounding. Whether you’re brand new to the mountains or ready to deepen your skills, you’ll be met exactly where you are.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll experience:
- Guided hikes and trail running clinics that build confidence at your own pace
- Wilderness safety, maps, and navigation—so you can feel more at home outside
- Yoga, meditation, and restorative practices to help you slow down and listen inward
- Shared meals, laughter, and meaningful connection with other BIPOC women
- Time to rest, reflect, and simply be
This is a space where you don’t have to shrink, perform, or navigate alone. A space where belonging comes naturally. A space where you can begin to write a new story about what’s possible for you in the outdoors—and in yourself.
Spots are intentionally limited to keep this experience intimate and connected.
If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to say yes to yourself, this is it. Join us.
Sol Sisters is a two-night camping, hiking, and trail-running weekend in the Colorado high country where community, soul, and sisterhood meet the mountains. Gather with other BIPOC women and gender expansive folks, and spend a weekend moving, resting, and breathing in our beautiful Colorado Rockies, together.
Hit the Colorado Trail at your pace, always in partnership with your guides. Choose a leisurely montane hike, push yourself on a longer climb, or travel the trail on a run. This weekend holds space for everybody and every pace.
We take care of everything so you can just show up and soak in the sun. All camping and hiking gear, camping gear, kitchen equipment, and warm nourishing meals are provided. No experience necessary. Just show up ready to find your people, fill your soul, and spend your nights around a campfire under a sky full of stars.

Your Instructors:

Kriste (she/her) is a passionate outdoor enthusiast who loves being in community while in nature. She’s all about bringing mindfulness and storytelling into the mix in ways that heighten the inner and outer adventure by teaching us more about ourselves and our surroundings. She’s also a trail runner, yoga teacher, Wilderness First Responder, and Executive Director of Women’s Wilderness.

Lindsley K. Lindsley Kump – mama, wife, fur-baby mom, and avid runner. I am originally from Hawai’i but have called Colorado my home for the past 20 years. Like so many Colorado transplants I have fallen in love
with the mountains and trails. I am the Field Event Marketing Manager/National Events Partnership
Coordinator for Polar Beverages Mountain West. As a black female runner and RRCA certified run coach,
I am passionate about diversity, inclusion, equity, and fostering a sense of community for BIWOC within
the outdoor/trail community.

Ivana V. (she/her) has worked in non-profit environmental sciences for almost 20 years, with fieldwork taking her from the alpine tundra to the sea floor. Born and raised in southern California to Vietnamese refugees, one of her favorite memories is when the family would load up the old station wagon and drive for what seemed like days to get to a national park. She moved to North Carolina as a teenager and then to Colorado in 2016, where she volunteers with local youth and first discovered Women’s Wilderness through a Trailblazers program. She is excited to work with kids from all backgrounds and hopes to share her passion for science, nature, and the outdoors with everyone. Ivana has hiked the Appalachian Trail, sailed across the Pacific, and currently works at NCAR’s Research Aviation Facility, where she daydreams about exploring more of this amazing world.
