4 Benefits of Becoming a Monthly Donor
Over the course of these past few months, you’ve heard us talk about our SustainHer circle and why those monthly donations are so important to us: they help sustain and strengthen our impact by providing a more predictable flow of resources, which allows us to plan and budget with increased confidence in our day-to-day operations and future planning.
Becoming a monthly donor also eases the pressure of continuous fundraising by allowing us to focus on delivering the programming we all love so much. Of course, these are great reasons why joining the SustainHer circle is good for us, but here are some reasons why becoming a monthly donor is good for you, too.
1. It’s budget-friendly. Monthly contributions can be more affordable and easier to budget than larger one-time gifts. By breaking the donation into smaller increments, you can provide meaningful support without straining your finances. For as little as the cost of coffee or a Netflix subscription, recurring donations go a long way to help keep our programs running.
2. It’s easy. Once you set up your gift, you’re in control, and you can change the amount, the time of the month, and your payment information as you see fit. Giving monthly also means you get one consolidated receipt at the end of year – much easier to manage than multiple one-time gifts.
3. Your connection deepens. As a monthly donor, you’ll have closer proximity to our work, mission, and impact because you’ll be hearing directly from us about what we’re up to and how we’re doing. You’ll also get to hear first hand from people you’ve made a difference for.
4. Your impact is increased. We already know that making a difference is important to you, and when you become a monthly donor, you boost your impact. Monthly donations compound over time, creating a bigger impact in the long run. Even a modest monthly contribution will build up to substantial support over the course of a year or several years.
From behind the scenes to the backcountry and beyond, monthly donors make an impact on every aspect of our work. And if you know others who support our mission – no matter where they live – please share this blog with them and help us expand our Circle!
