Introducing: Peak Ready Series
We are so excited to announce the start of our Peak Ready Series! It’s a progressive training program designed not just for women who are looking to get back into hiking or are new to hiking, it’s also a fun opportunity for more seasoned hikers looking to explore the beauty of Colorado in a supportive community of like-minded women, to refresh their outdoor skills by leaning from our trained guides and instructors.
The series starts with a mellow 4-mile and ~700 ft elevation gain hike in Chautauqua, each hike thereafter will progressively increase in distance covered and elevation gained, providing an opportunity for participants to strengthen their physical and mental wellness throughout the spring and summer, so they are prepared to extend their efforts for a culminating 3 day/2 night camping and hiking excursion in the Colorado high country!
Our Peak Ready Series is also designed for and welcomes women who are training for the Life’s 2 Short Fitness adventure retreat in Tanzania in August 2024. We are thrilled to launch this series with this local woman-led outdoor company.
This sold-out 11-day adventure culminates by summiting Kilimanjaro over the course of 6 days. As part of the program, participants receive a training plan, which includes four hikes and a backpacking trip. To support this adventure, and to provide a similar adventure that takes place in our backyard of Colorado, Women’s Wilderness is offering this training series that supports women’s physical and mental fitness, with the end goal of a multi-day camping and hiking adventure that will push our individual fitness to new levels.
