Adventure Car Camping Description:

Adventure Car Camping offers middle schoolers an opportunity to dip their toes into camping and hiking, with all the comforts of car camping. Participants on this program will spend 4 days in Colorado’s beautiful frontcountry with experienced Wilderness First Responder-certified instructors; during their time in the field, participants will embark on daily hikes, leadership and team building exercises, and get creative with art and journaling. Through deep nature immersion, participants will build relationships with the land and grow their comfort in the outdoors. In the evenings, participants will spend time around the campfire and engage with Women’s Wilderness core curriculum, focusing on body positivity and building brave and open spaces. This course is a great option for middle schoolers who would like a primer for Women’s Wilderness backpacking courses.

• Ages: 11-13 (Middle Schhol)
• Dates: June 25th – June 28th 2024
• Time: Drop Off – 9:00AM on start date / Pick Up – 3:00PM on end date.
• Location: Meet at the Women’s Wilderness Office in Boulder. Transportation provided to and from Golden Gate Canyon State Park

• Interactive discussions, games, and self-reflective activities aimed at supporting girls’ in their development
• Mindfulness techniques, communication, leadership and teambuilding

CHILD CARE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: Due to our licensing we are required to have all forms below that apply. Please make sure to make an appointment before the paperwork deadline:

• Required for ALL participants: Youth Health Form (Physical- We will provide form)
• If participant has allergy that requires an epi-pen: Colorado Allergy and Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan
• If participant has asthma: Colorado Asthma Care Plan and Medication
• If participant has seizures: Seizures Emergency Care plan and Medication Orders
• If participant has been to counselor/therapist in past 2 years: Counselor/Therapist Form

This paperwork must be turned in by the paperwork due date MAY 25, 2024 for your student to keep their spot in our youth camp. Please make sure that your medical appointment is set before that date.
